WP7v7 Season continues

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

On Tuesday 12th March we started our ETF2L Season 5 campaign, losing 4-1 and 5-2 to Team Delete on cp_fastlane and cp_badlands respectively. On Thursday 14th March we beat CiC in our WPTF2L7v7 game, winning both cp_steel and cp_ramrod. This result means we are currently the only team in our division with a 100% win record. Hopefully this will continue!

On Sunday we hope to play our penultimate WPTF2L6v6 game against ScS. We will then play our remaining game against iw on Tuesday 19th March.

Results Updated, New League Seasons

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Last Sunday we played our first WPTF2L7v7 game of the season, beating DA 1-0 on cp_dustbowl and pl_badwater. On Tuesday we played a thrilling game of WPTF2L6v6 against XC, narrowly winning cp_gravelpit 2-0 and drawing cp_fastlane 4-4 after going 4-0 down. Fastlane in particular was a tremendous effort by everyone, well done.

Next week we start our fifth season of ETF2L, against Team Delete. This means we will be playing 3 league games a week, which will mean we’re not available for friendlies until we finish WPTF2L6v6 in a few weeks time.

We have also welcomed Weevil back, after almost a month’s absence due to PC problems.

Results Updated, Clan Roster Changes

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Our results page is up to date with friendlies and league games. Last week we lost to Phoenix Squad 7-1 on cp_granary and 7-0 on cp_badlands in WPTF2L6v6. This week we play Auth on Thursday at 8:30pm, and we also start our WPTF2L7v7 season against DA on sunday at 8pm.

We have had some re-schuffling of clan members, Zimri joins us and Viluliina leaves us. We are currently considering getting a second/main demo.

On Thursday 26th March we played Phoenix Squad in UKESA, winning 3-2 on cp_granary and losing 4-0 on cp_badlands. On Sunday 29th March we played Paracocci in our ETF2L Highlander Cup third round fixture, after having rescheduled from the previous Tuesday. We lost both pl_hoodoo and pl_badwater 1-0.

We have entered and begun the new Wireplay TF2 6v6 season, our first match is against french clan PTT which will be scheduled hopefully for next week. We are also signed up the the new season of Wireplay TF2 7v7, which has some interesting rules that will hopefully provide something very different to the standard 6v6 game.

Tonight we played clan good! in a friendly match, losing 4-1 on cp_granary.

Results Page Updated, New competition entries

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

After a bit of a delay between posts, the results page has been updated. There are a few scores missing as the demos are once again broken, but the results themselves should be right.

In other news we are through to Round 3 of the ETF2L Highlander Cup. We have also been playing in the UKESA Open Division, and have finished ETF2L Season 4. We have signed up for Wireplay TF2L 6v6 Season 3, which may well take over from UKESA depending on whether next season produces more sensible division placings.

Our next game is on Tuesday against Box? in UKESA, on cp_well and cp_gravelpit at 8:30pm GMT.

Friendly and ETF2L Results, New League

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

On Thursday 22nd January we played Malevolent Monkees in a 6v6 friendly, losing 7-0 on cp_badlands and 5-2 on ctf_turbine.

Tonight we played FCUK in our ETF2L Week 2 fixture. We drew 3-3 on cp_badlands, and won 4-2 on cp_well (the final cap of ours was scored when FCUK had a couple of players drop).

Good games all.

Next week we will be playing OldBoys in our ETF2L Week 3 fixture, on Thursday 29th January at 7pm GMT. We also have our WPTF2L game against NERV to arrange.

Finally, 9men have decided to enter the UKESA TF2 League. It’s a 6v6 league that hopefully will raise the profile of TF2 as a competitive online game.

Friendly Result, ETF2L Fixture

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Tonight we played Phoenix Squad in a 6v6 friendly. We won 5-1 on cp_badlands and 1-0 on cp_dustbowl (stopwatch). Thanks for the game guys.

On Thursday we play FCUK in the ETF2L. We play them on cp_badlands and cp_well.

We are also looking at possibly getting a team together for the UKESA TF2 League, which starts in march. The league is a 6v6 format and will hopefully raise the profile of TF2 as a competitive game.

Friendly and ETF2L Playoffs

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

Tonight we played NERV in a 6v6 friendly. We won 3-2 on cp_well (after going 2-0 down) and 4-2 on cp_granary. Straight after that we played TWO in the remaining part of our ETF2L relegation playoff on cp_well. It was a golden cap, meaning we could force the fixture to a third map had we won, however we lost the middle point and never really recovered. Final result, 1-0 to TWO. Thanks guys.

Next week sees the start of WPTF2L season 4, which is a 7v7 highlander league. This should be an interesting change of pace from our usual league games!

Friendly and ETF2L results

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

On 28th October we played 9m. 9m ended up beating 9m on cp_mach4, but 9m managed to claw back a victory on pl_badwater (stopwatch mode). Well played everyone, especially the 9m players.

On 30th October we played QA (plus ringers), losing on cp_badlands. The second map granary had to be abandoned, hopefully everyone will get a better game next time.

On 2nd November we played eT in our remaining ETF2L season 2 game. We lost 3-1 on cp_well, but won 7-5 on ctf_mach4. This means we will almost certainly be relegated to division 5 next season, pending any re-shuffling as folded clans are removed and new clans introduced.

With our remaining league games now finished, we’ll be arranging some friendlies to keep in good shape before the next seasons start. Thanks to all 9m players who have played league games this season.

WPTF2L Season finished, Friendly Result

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

On 21st October we played Dice Reloaded in our final WPTF2L Season 3 game. We drew 4-4 on pl_hoodoo_b2 (with d:R^ capturing the final point in a tense overtime), and drew 2-2 on cp_well. It was a really close match overall, thanks to all concerned. Also, thanks to the WPTF2L team that run the league, it’s a shame that many other clans haven’t managed to finish their game on time so we don’t know what league position we’ve ended up in yet.

On 23rd October we played Malevolent Monkees in a 6v6 friendly. We won 9-2 on ctf_mach4 (their first go on the map) and drew 4-4 on pl_badwater (non-stopwatch mode). Thanks for the game guys, always a pleasure.

Our remaining ETF2L game remains to be scheduled, so we’ll be playing some friendlies soon. We’ll also hopefully be taking part in the 8v8 CFL league.

On Tuesday at 8:30pm we have a 9m v 9m internal friendly scheduled, if you’re in 9m or are affiliated with us in any way come and play! We’ll be playing ctf_mach4, you can download it from here (down at the bottom of the page).
